I am currently writing this review from the comfort of one of the beds here at Dewars. This place is absolutely stunning. The room is spotless, not a sprinkle of dust in sight. We had lunch first, we both had the Dewars burger - mouthwatering! We then enjoyed a couple of hours in the sauna and outdoor pool which was clean and warm. And for the evening we enjoyed the steak, with it being on offer with our room we expected a tiny piece of steak but no this was huge and delicious. Cooked to perfection! I would like to mention the barman and the waitress who were working last night (unfortunately I didn't catch their names), they are a credit to the company. Polite, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. If you are looking for the perfect yorkshire escape then this is for you and we will be 100% returning!
Me and my son popped in for a drink late afternoon on Monday 11th August. As we were stood at the bar ordering a drink unfortunately my son was stung by a wasp. I have to say the barmaid was excellent in offering assistance to my distressed child. Didn’t catch her name a girl with brown hair. Fantastic she deserves recognition for great customer service.
We have stayed here a few times now and it has been a 5 star, first class experience every time. The team are relentless in their desire to provide a helpful, accommodating and memorable experience - going above and beyond. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and kept to a very impressive standard across the board - a real treat having a heated swimming pool! Couldn't recommend Dewars more!
Superb hotel, absolutely pristine, facilities and grounds are excellent, service is very friendly and attentive. Lovely peaceful location 10mins from Pickering. Great breakfast, otherwise food is ok but IMO could do with being more refined for this type of establishment, it’s not the most inspiring menu, we chose to eat out for dinner instead and the lunch sandwich we ordered came on thin sliced warburtons style bread which was just ok. Great beer and wine selection. Only other things worth noting - rooms get hot and stuffy as there is no airflow or air con, only the double doors open which isn’t ideal on ground floor, also the toilet lights come on full blast in the night there is no option to dim, lights up the whole room. All in all a great find though 100% will be going back.
Stayed here for a night's get away. The hotel was spotlessly clean , as was the pool and sauna. Staff lovely and friendly and the room was decorated beautifully. Breakfast was tasty and not greasy and everything felt of good quality. I would definitely start here again.
We are currently staying here. I can say nothing but good things about this place! Rooms- Beautiful, peaceful, well thought out and designed. Ours over looks the pool, which is immaculate. Food - Excellent quality for the money, located in a beautiful restaurant and conservatory. Grounds - are so pretty and well kept, pool and sauna are modern and clean. Service - the best! Charming, polite, friendly and kind people. The service is outstanding, from meeting Stuart on arrival to all the young ladies and gentlemen. Would we recommend it? We booked a second night as soon as we arrived, it was that relaxing and impressive.

Lovely hotel , very pretty rooms all are fantastic decorated , throughout hotel , all members staff lovely throughout our stay, has a fantastic spa pool in the middle of hotel with loungers a round woodern sauna tropical settings on wall various options to choose showers toilets and lockers key rooms off pool superb as access to pool from that area with fantastic seating out rooms to chill relax very central to flamingo land across road , food breakfast was great choices array of baked items cereals yogurts and lovely cooked breakfast in the morning , I would defiantly recommend this hotel gem in Yorkshire relaxing stay good car park facilities too for electric cars too. We shall return again love all the decor lovely maintained by all who work in here.
